Punta Cana, Dominican Republic - The XXXVI Central American and Caribbean Congress of Pathology, organized by the Dominican Society of Pathology (SoDoPa) and the Central American and Caribbean Association of Pathology (ACACP), successfully concluded this past July 2nd, after four days of intensive scientific and academic sessions.

The event, held at the Hard Rock Hotel’s International Convention Center in Punta Cana, brought together prominent national and international experts to share the latest advances in diagnostic pathology, immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry techniques, molecular diagnostics, digital pathology, and many other relevant topics in the field.

Among the highlights were pre-congress workshops and symposiums that covered advances in histotechnology techniques and also in cytopathology, with the collaboration from the Latinamerican Society of Citopathology.

The Dominican Society of Pathology described this edition of the congress as a "celebration of scientific and academic knowledge," which significantly contributed to the advancement of both local and regional specialists in various areas of pathology, including breast, gastrointestinal, renal, urological, molecular, and cytopathology.
